Eric was born and raised in Hanna, Alberta. After growing up and playing sports in a rural community, it wasn’t long before his family outgrew small town life and migrated to Red Deer where he attended and graduated from Hunting Hills High School. Immediately after high school, he attended Red Deer College where he started his degree in Biological Sciences specializing on the human immune system. He completed his degree with distinction in 2012 from the University of Alberta. Shortly thereafter, Eric pursued a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and graduated in 2015.

As an advocate for community stewardship and continuing education, Eric has a passion for learning from his peers and giving back to his community. Eric continues to study and practice his skills in anatomy and physiology, as a part-time instructor at Red Deer College in the Health Sciences Department. He has taken training on Traditional and Non-Traditional Acupuncture and is comfortable with various forms of dry-needling and IMS (intra-muscular stimulation). He is also certified and registered with the Alberta Physiotherapy Association to perform joint manipulations.

Eric considers himself an eternal optimist and he uses his charisma to address the challenges that his patients face with an open mind. Although he is a firm believer in a precise manual therapy-based approach to treatment, Eric also believes that the uniqueness of each person’s symptoms should allow for a customized approach to physical therapy.

Never one to stay still in his free time, he can often be found reading, spending time with family and friends and exploring the inexhaustible variety of life.
