Rachel was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved to Alberta while still young. Her family initially settled in Calgary and then relocated to Lacombe. She attended Red Deer College in the collaborative degree program with the University of Calgary, achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with honours and a minor in Sociology in 2014. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2017 and has since been working full time as an Addiction Counselor/Mental Health Therapist. Rachel is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and looks forward to helping you on your journey!
Rachel has been actively working in the field of mental health services for many years in settings like Centennial Centre in Ponoka, Red Deer Regional Hospital, and currently also at the Mental Health Clinic in Red Deer. Over the years, she has developed a passion for overall health, fitness, and nutrition. This has included obtaining certifications in Nutrition Coaching from Precision Nutrition (Level 1) and CanFitPro. Rachel loves to support people in learning about the connection between physical movement, nutrition, and mental health. She believes that these are interrelated and reinforce many aspects of overall health and wellness.
In addition to her professional interests, Rachel is currently engaged in bodybuilding and weightlifting, and also enjoys boot camp workouts, spin classes, yoga and running.
