Veronica is a Registered Provisional Psychologist. Her great passion is in helping her clients, especially children, towards better mental health and to educate others on the critical relationship between physical and psychological well-being. Veronica has extensive knowledge and experience in assessment and intervention of children and adolescents. While her previous experience has mainly focused on mental health in youth, Veronica also has practical experience and training in working with adults from diverse backgrounds who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief or working to overcome a traumatic event.
Veronica’s educational background includes both Masters and Specialist degrees in School Psychology from the University of Montana. Following the completion of her Masters degree, Veronica completed an internship in Las Vegas as a school psychologist primarily working with at risk youth and providing counseling and assessment to students with a variety of needs. It was during her internship that Veronica discovered her aptitude for working with children and had the opportunity to further enhance and develop her practical skills.
Veronica was born and raised in Red Deer where she trained and performed internationally with the Red Deer Rhythmic Gymnastics group. Outside of work, she spends her time outdoors and loves running, golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Veronica is excited to be part of the Stride team and looks forward to being an advocate of change in the community on the many issues surrounding mental health.
