Julia was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo before earning her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton.

Julia takes a hands-on, individualized approach to physiotherapy, knowing that every person, body, and injury is unique. She combines manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise to help patients manage pain, build strength, and get back to doing the things they enjoy. She believes that understanding the “what” and “why” behind an injury is an important part of the recovery process. Her goal is for every patient to feel heard and supported, with a clear understanding of their injury and the tools they need to move forward with confidence.

Julia has a special interest in treating temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD), helping patients better understand and manage jaw-related pain and dysfunction. She is also certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN, also known as IMS) and is on the Physiotherapy Alberta needling roster.

Outside of the clinic, Julia loves spending time with her husband and son, exploring local trails, and enjoying the mountains whenever she can. She is also a big coffee lover and is slowly working on perfecting her latte art!
