What should I wear for the appointment?

What does an appointment look like?

Massage: We alleviate pain by using various massage therapy techniques. Throughout your massage, assessment is performed to identify areas that are restricted, weak, and limiting movement.
Movement: After the massage, we'll work in the fitness area. Here we will perform different exercises to help correct the root cause of the issue and provide you with lasting pain relief. There are many different exercises we can do, including activating your back muscles to help your posture, or strengthen your abdominals to relieve lower back pain. We may also focus on mobility by focusing on stretches and soft-tissue release techniques.
Post Treatment: After your treatment you will receive an email explaining the treatment as well as what we found and worked on. We provide home-exercises to help accelerate the results in between treatments.

We require the following information:
The name of your insurance adjuster
Your personal contact information
Your policy/claim number (given to you by your adjuster)
At Your First Appointment
AB-1 Form:
You will be required to fill out a form regarding your accident (AB-1) for your insurance company. Based on your assessment with your physiotherapist, your insurance will then authorize a certain number of treatments.
AB-2 Form / Physiotherapy Assessment:
Your physiotherapist will perform a thorough assessment and complete the AB-2 form required by the insurance company. A treatment plan will be recommended by your physiotherapist, and these recommendations will be sent to the insurance company.
Coordination with insurance providers:
Our team will assist you in navigating the paperwork and submit your forms from our clinic to make it easier for you. We manage all the necessary documentation and communications with your insurance provider, so you can focus on recovery without the stress of paperwork. You are not alone; we are here to help!

Ergonomic Assessments

Ergonomic assessments are systematic evaluations of the conditions of a work environment. The premise of these assessments is to identify and address environmental variables that may contribute to discomfort, pain and potential injury. Based on your preference, one of our trained workplace assessors can help to identify the potential problem areas of a workstation either in-person or virtually.

Below are the some of the items analyzed in a Stride Ergonomic Assessment:

Workstation Setup: This involves evaluating the key features of workstations, including desk height, chair ergonomics, monitor placement, keyboard and mouse positioning, and the overall layout of the workspace.
Tools and Equipment: Ergonomic assessments consider the implements employees use in their work, such as phones, mice, computers, and hand tools.
Employment Demands: Assessors evaluate the physical demands of specific job tasks which may include lifting and carrying heavy objects, repetitive motions, and periods of stagnation such as sitting or standing.
Environmental Factors: Ergonomic assessments also consider environmental factors such as lighting and noise that can lead to irritation and reduction of performance.
Education and Exercise: One of the goals of the assessment is to have the means to detect and correct the variables that can lead to workplace malaise. Recommendations may include exercises to combat pre-existing problems or to prevent problems from beginning in the first place.
Documentation: After the assessment, a report is conducted by your assessor, outlining key themes and recommendations.
