OssKin Custom Knee Braces

OssKin Custom Knee Braces

OssKin Custom Knee Braces

The Evoke knee brace is truly custom and digitally designed and 3D-printed for each individual patient’s leg, aiming to provide pain relief from osteoarthritis and help regain full range of motion. The Provoke knee brace follows the same design process and  seeks to protect the knee’s deficient ligament throughout the three anatomical planes of movement without collateral effects.

Both braces  feature OssKin’s patented Asymmotion hinge system that tracks the natural tridimensional motion of the knee, ensuring unrestricted leg mobility.

How OssKin Custom Knee Braces Work

OssKin braces use cutting-edge 3D printed technology with a process developed in the aerospace industry for exceptional support and comfort.

  • Ergonomic Frame: Light and comfortable with a discreet, low-profile design. This brace weighs 50% less than other braces on the market and can easily be worn under pants.
  • Advanced Technology: Asymmotion™ helical hinge system replicates the knee’s natural movement, preventing compensation by other joints. The result: smooth, fully fluid motion and unbeatable comfort.

What to Expect

Booking

OssKin Custom Knee Braces at Stride either begin with a discovery call with one of our fitters or after your treating therapist has indicated you would benefit from a brace.

The discovery call for patients new to the clinic is meant to help patients understand the indications, cost, and procedure associated with custom bracing. The in-person assessment includes:

  • Review of injury history and diagnosis
  • Assessment of ligament integrity (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL)
  • Evaluation of knee stability and joint alignment
  • Range of motion testing
  • Activity demands (sport, occupation, daily life)
  • Review of surgical history (if applicable)

This assessment determines the appropriate brace model (e.g., ligament-stabilizing vs. offloading) and identifies any special design considerations.

3D Scanning

OssKin uses advanced 3D optical scanning technology to capture an exact digital model of your leg. This process is quick, requires no casting or molds, and captures the detailed contours of your thigh, knee and calf.

The scan is typically completed in a weight-bearing or functional position to reflect how your knee aligns during activity. The digital file allows OssKin to fabricate a brace that precisely matches your limb geometry, improving fit and minimizing pressure points or slippage.

Custom Fabrication

Your 3D scan and prescription details are sent to OssKin’s manufacturing facility in Eastern Canada, where your brace is engineered using high-strength, lightweight materials.

Each brace is:

  • Individually fabricated (not modified from a stock template)
  • Designed with hinges that match how your joint is supposed to move
  • Built to provide targeted correction or stabilization
  • Engineered for durability and sport-level performance

Fitting Appointment

Once the brace is manufactured and arrives at Stride, you return for a fitting session. During this visit, your fitter will:

  • Confirm proper alignment of the hinges with your knee joint
  • Adjust straps and suspension systems for secure fit
  • Ensure comfort at contact points
  • Review how to put on and take off the brace
