Dustin was born and raised in Buick, a small community in northern British Columbia, where he grew up on a farm and developed a love for sport from an early age. Throughout his youth, he played hockey, baseball and volleyball, and later competed in collegiate baseball. In 2018, Dustin was part of the Okanagan College Coyotes championship baseball team.
His interest in sport, human movement and performance led Dustin to pursue a career in Kinesiology – a path he had his sights set on as early as Grade 8. He completed his Bachelor’s degree through the University of Alberta in 2022 and has since worked as a Registered Kinesiologist in physiotherapy clinics across both Alberta and British Columbia.
Dustin has experience helping individuals recover from both acute and chronic injuries through individualized strength, conditioning, mobility and functional exercise programs. His clinical experience includes Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) rehabilitation, occupational and return-to-work rehabilitation, and private personal training and exercise therapy. Dustin is also WorkWell certified and has experience completing Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and pre-employment testing.
Sport continues to be an important part of Dustin’s life and career. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys working directly with sports teams, providing sideline coverage and supporting athletes with injury assessment, first aid, taping and return-to-sport needs. He enjoys helping athletes stay active, recover from injury and safely return to the activities and sports they love.
