Julia was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario.
Having been involved in various sports over the years, she experienced her own personal injuries where Physiotherapy played a key role in her recovery.
Julia graduated with her Honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo followed by a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. Since graduating, she has worked in a private practice setting in Ontario and recently moved to Red Deer.
Julia has a strong interest in orthopaedics and has completed her level 1 manual therapy certification through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is excited to continue expanding her knowledge base as she works towards her Diploma of Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.
She values patient-centered care and helping people reach their goals through a blend of manual therapy and exercise-based approaches. Using the most recent evidence, her goal is to help you understand your injury and gain the tools you need in order to get back to what you enjoy most!
When not at the clinic, you can find Julia outdoors hiking, running, downhill skiing, or being active with friends.
