Julia was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. She graduated with her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo followed by a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University.
With a passion for helping individuals achieve optimal health, her hands-on approach is rooted in a holistic philosophy that embraces the interconnected nature of the body. No two individuals are alike, and Julia tailors each treatment plan to suit the unique needs and goals of her patients. Using a blend of manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and tailored exercise programs, Julia addresses the root causes of musculoskeletal issues aiming not just to alleviate symptoms but to optimize overall function and prevent future issues. Her goal is to help you feel heard and empowered, having gained the tools you need in order to get back to what you enjoy most.
Julia has a special interest in treating temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD). From clenching to chronic pain, Julia would be honoured to journey with you through the complexities of jaw related concerns. She has also been certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN, also known as IMS) and is on the Physiotherapy Alberta needling roster. She values ongoing education to expand her skills and best serve her clients.
When not at the clinic, you can find Julia spoiling her dog Penny, hiking, snowshoeing, or skiing. She equally appreciates down time with family and curling up with coffee and a good book. She would love to partner with you no matter what your stage of life or injury!
